Cafe Zupas and Eklectic Pie coming to Gilbert and Germann
Living in south Chandler our lunch and dinner options close by have been few over the past 12 years. Lately, more and more options are popping up and I am super excited about the opening of Cafe Zupas and Eklectic Pie at Gilbert and Germann in the Crossroads Towne Center.
Cafe Zupas is NOW OPEN (as of October 29th) at 3877 S. Gilbert Rd. They have locations in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, and Arizona. Cafe Zupas is a soup, salad, and sandwich restaurant where everything is created by hand, in house, each day. They use cage free eggs, all natural chicken and their menu items contain no preservatives. With produce delivered daily this great lunch place sounds fresh and delicious. This location is near the Target parking lot at the southeast corner of the 202 Santan Freeway and Gilbert Road. I have been driving by checking this place out pretty frequently and looking forward to its opening.
On the southwest corner of the 202 Santan Freeway and Gilbert Road will be Eklectic Pie. This place sounds amazing. Their first location just opened recently at 1859 S. Stapley Rd in Mesa. This Gilbert and Germann location is NOW OPEN (as of February 2, 2016). Eklectic Pie is a pizza place like no other around. First off they use many local ingredients such as olive oil from the Queen Creek Olive Mill and meats from the Pork Shop (If you have never been you are missing out. Click on the link to read more about it). They use 100% hormone free chicken, organic San Marzano tomatoes in sauces and all natural additive-free flour imported from Italy. What makes Eklectic Pie different? Well, you pay one price ($5.49 for a 7 inch pie and $7.99 for an 11 inch pie). You then can select a pie from their “Wall of Fame” or choose any other combination you wish. There are 9 sauces, 8 kinds of cheese, 10 meat options, 16 different vegetables to choose from, 5 kinds of fruits and nuts, and 13 finishers such as basil. You may select a gluten free crust for $2 more. They also have non dairy cheese and tofu as options. Eklectic Pie has Gondola sandwiches, salads and kid’s meals on their menu as well. They serve Boylans’s all natural pure cane sugar soda, Arizona craft beer and wine, and have dessert.
Two more options for us to enjoy! We look forward to checking out Cafe Zupas and Eklectic pie at Gilbert and Germann.
